November's Society's Assembly - Chasing Your Dreams

During Our November Society's Assembly we had the honorable Mr. Tom Dorsey of Dorsey, Wright & Associates come speak to us about chasing and attaining your dreams. He began with his story, sharing with us his many challenges and tribulations growing up; out of this it was clear to see what it took to ultimately reach one's desired destination: belief, purpose, and perseverance. His greatest advice to us was that you must have a vision, which you wholeheartedly believe in, if you have a vision and consistently work towards it everything else will fall into place. This advice was backed by the fact that he admitted at DWA they do not create 'game plans', but instead depend on their vision and chase it strenuously. Lastly, Mr. Dorsey shared that he believed the next millionaires will be made within the Internet and Wellness industries, using www.mint.com and similar ventures as examples.

Mr. Dorsey is the President and Founder of Dorsey, Wright & Associates, one of the largest independent and privately owned registered investment advisory firms in the US. Mr. Dorsey has been featured on CNBC and Fox Business several times and has written several books, including the much acclaimed Point & Figure Charting: The Essential Application for Forecasting and Tracking Market Prices.
