The Internship program offers a route for new incoming and existing members to become more involved and work their way up in the Established Leaders’ Society. Within the internship program members have the opportunity to work alongside the distinguished individuals selected to serve in the upper management of ELS. Within such company the member is bound to be strengthened in various areas. Upon completion of the internship program, the member will surely appreciate their higher level of importance within the society and as a result will be more prepared, eligible, and likely to be selected to:

Replace an outgoing upper management member and/or officer

Take on an internship by a member of our business network

Receive a job from one of the many businesses within our business network.

In addition to these great opportunities, any member that completes the internship program will be more eligible and likely to be selected to participate in our:

•- Research Team

•- Think-Tanks and/or

•- Ambassador program

All which yield many of their own benefits and opportunities as listed below.

Research Teams

The Research Team provides for yet another way a member can help others while helping themselves. The Research Team is a team of our members from all networks assigned to an aspiring entrepreneur within the Research and Development division of our IPO branch. Within a research team a member will have the opportunity to work alongside actual business owners and seasoned business veterans from the Greater Richmond area.

While working with a Research Team a member will have the opportunity to gain first hand knowledge and experiences of the numerous tasks involved in the business and development process of a new business and receive the typical benefits of doing so.

Ambassador Program

There are well over 200 student organizations at VCU; more than 30 of those are professional organizations. Unfortunately, a problem is that many professional organizations at VCU are too small to achieve their organization’s goals and missions.

The Ambassador Program is designed to solve that problem by bringing all the professional student organizations of VCU together within an environment where they could collaborate on mutually beneficial projects. Individually our organizations may be good, but collectively we become the definition of great.

Think-Tank Program

The think-thank program is geared towards selecting standout members to give consultations and advice to the business owners of our network. Once a month there will be a think-thank session held with anywhere between 6-10 members. These members will be challenged with a problem a local business is facing and they will have the opportunity to present a solution. If the solution is deemed feasible and beneficial to the business, the team may even have the opportunity of carrying their plan out.
